Anxiety and Depression

Depression and anxiety are among the most common psychological conditions. However, the feelings asscociated with these conditions can manifest quite differently from person to person. For you, it may mean that you're feeling unmotivated, experiencing feelings of worthlessness, having thoughts that you can't get out of your head, excessively worrying, finding it difficult to sleep, or having aggressive outbursts. You may be experiencing these feelings for the first time, or they may have existed, often in the background, for most of your life. Either way, there is help, and there's no need for you to suffer alone.

GLBT Issues

Being a GLBT person has its unique challenges. Feelings of shame, anger, and low self-esteem are common, and we've inevitably had to confront hostility from friends, family, or society.

We are each at a different stage of this journey and engage it differently. Given that your sexual and gender identity is an integral part of who you are, I feel it is important (whether what brings you to therapy concerns struggles and conflicts over your sexual/gender identity or not) to have a space to explore these issues. Given the highly personal, intimate, and intense nature of psychotherapy, who you are as a sexual person needs to be kept within the conversation as well.
